2. FALSE BELIEF PROVES DEADLY IN IRAN Nearly 300 Iranians have been killed and more than 1,000 sickened by ingesting toxic methanol out of the misconception it kills the new coronavirus.

1. GRIEF FOR SLAIN GENERAL Iran’s supreme leader prayed over the caskets of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Gen. Qassem Soleimani and others killed in a U.S. airstrike. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who had a close relationship with Soleimani, wept during the traditional Muslim prayers for the dead.

2. TRUMP RATCHETS UP THE THREATS President Trump insists that Iranian cultural sites are fair game for the U.S. military, dismissing concerns that doing so could constitute a war crime under international law.
