Expect a mix of sun and cloud Saturday as temperatures rise above freezing, with a daytime high predicted around 3 C. The wind chill could be below zero, however, with winds up to 15 km/h making the morning feel like -5.
Saturday night look for subzero temperatures and cloudy skies overnight.
Sunday, precipitation and warmer air moves in. Look for a daytime high around 9 C with periods of rain for much of the day and evening.
Fuel prices
Friday the bargain sellers around the region had gasoline prices ranging between $1.15 and $1.19/L, according to gasbuddy.com.
Weekend events
Canada's Ballet Jörgen is back with the holiday favourite ballet, the Nutcracker. This version has unique costumes and is set in Algonquin Park, so expect woodland creatures, lumberjacks and Mounties.
It's at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28 at Centre in the Square, 101 Queen St. N., Kitchener.
