Russell Wilson, Ciara Announce They’re Expecting 2nd Child Together

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and singer Ciara announced Thursday they're expecting their second child together.

Wilson posted the news on Twitter. The baby will join their daughter, Sienna Princess Wilson, and Ciara's son from a previous relationship, Future Zahir Wilburn.

In 2017, Wilson told Michael-Shawn Dugar of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer his growing role of being a dad following the birth of Sienna that April helped keep things in perspective.

“More than anything, when you have your own family and it continues to grow, it's a special thing,” he said. “I don't just play for my family that I've had before, but also my new family. Just playing for the little ones, playing for Ciara too and playing for my teammates and trying to do everything that I can to be the best that I possibly can be. I'm truly grateful every day to get to come home, and it puts a smile on my face every time.”

Ciara discussed how quickly the kids were growing up with ExtraTV in August.

“Future's first year of kindergarten happens this year and I'm so excited,” she said. “It goes so fast. It's honestly somewhat surreal, but it's a really a big milestone for us. His sister has also been doing pre-K and a toddler program at school. It's been fun not only taking him to school, but her as well. It's really sweet, and I go, ‘Oh, my gosh. They're really growing up.'”

Wilson will likely finish second to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson in MVP voting for the 2019 season. He completed 66.1 percent of his throws for 4,110 yards with 31 touchdowns and just five interceptions in 16 games. He added 342 rushing yards and three scores on the ground.

The couple didn't announce a due date for the family's latest addition.
