The Dallas Cowboys have lost two in a row and were thoroughly outplayed by the Buffalo Bills during Thursday's 26-15 loss, but quarterback Dak Prescott hasn't lost any confidence.

“No belief has been lost,” he told reporters. “No confidence has been lost. … We control our destiny. I wouldn't want to be in this position with anyone else.”

He also said “it will happen” when asked to expand on what gives him confidence heading into the stretch run.

On paper, it appeared as if Prescott had a decent game against the Bills. He finished with 355 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception, although much of his production—including his second score—came in garbage time after Buffalo essentially wrapped up the win.

The Bills scored 26 straight points after the Cowboys opened the scoring with a touchdown catch from Jason Witten in the first quarter, and Prescott was unable to stop the momentum with a single scoring drive until the fourth.

The loss gave way to scenes of frustration after the game.

Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported there was “angry screaming and hollering coming from [the] Cowboys' locker room,” while Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News noted defensive end Michael Bennett was one who was shouting a message that was at least “well received.”

There is still reason for Prescott's optimism.

The 6-6 Cowboys are ahead of the 5-6 Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East race and do, as Prescott said, control their own destiny. They already beat the Eagles once this season and have a chance to secure the tiebreaker during the rematch on Dec. 22.
