RCMP have laid charges against a fourth man alleged to have been involved in a September shooting at CrossIron Mills mall in Balzac, Alta., that left one man injured.
Michael Keith Caseley, 42, has been charged with attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder. RCMP issued an arrest warrant for Caseley earlier this month.
RCMP has charged three other suspects, all of them from Calgary.
Dakota Brandon Bolton, Carl James Schuyler and Jari Erkki Manner were all charged with attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder, along with a number of other related charges, earlier this month.
The shooting, which took place on Sept. 16, forced shoppers and staff to shelter in place while police cordoned off the mall and searched for the gunman.
The Calgary Police Service and Airdrie RCMP, including a tactical team, CPS helicopter and a canine unit, responded.
Officers found a man in a restaurant who had been shot, who was taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. No other individuals were injured.
It took several hours to safely evacuate the mall, which was not completely cleared until 1 a.m.
The investigation remains ongoing, RCMP said, but they added that it appeared that the shooting was targeted.
