One man has died after an early-morning house fire in the Township of Langley, the B.C. Coroners Service has confirmed.
Photos from the scene show flames ripping through the roof of the home on 74B Avenue.
B.C. Emergency Health Services received a call shortly after 2:20 a.m. PT Thursday.
Six ambulances were dispatched to the property and two people were transported to the hospital, one of them in critical condition, says BCEHS.
The coroners service says it is in the early stages of its investigation.
Langley RCMP say the fire was not suspicious.
The fire service has yet to respond to calls from CBC about the blaze.
